What We Do

Our Services

A look at the deck work we handle most.

Custom Deck Design

We draw up a layout that fits your yard and how you actually use it, not a generic rectangle.

Deck Installation

New decks built on proper footings, set below the frost line and sized for the load.

Deck Repair

Soft boards, wobbly railings, and sinking posts fixed before they get worse.

Deck Staining & Sealing

A fresh coat of stain and sealant that actually holds up through a Gulf Coast summer.

Composite Deck Installation

Composite boards that won't warp, splinter, or require restaining every spring.

Screened Porch Building

A screened porch built onto your existing deck or as its own structure, keeps the bugs out.

Who We Are

The Crew Behind the Build

We build and repair decks for homeowners up and down the Baldwin County coast, from Foley out to Gulf Shores and Fairhope. Most people find us because a board gave way underfoot, a railing came loose, or a deck that looked fine from the yard turned out to be rotting from the ledger board out. Humidity down here does not forgive untreated wood, and a deck that was never flashed right at the house will show it inside a few years. If that is the deck you are standing on right now, you are not the first person to call us about it.

We flash the ledger board properly where the deck meets the house, so water stops tracking behind the band board and rotting the rim joist from the inside. We space joists at 16 inches on center for most composite boards and tighten that up to 12 for some diagonal patterns, because that's what the board calls for, not the framing. Fasteners are stainless or coated for the coast, not the cheap zinc ones that rust and streak the decking within a season. We'd rather spend an extra hour under the deck getting the structure right than come back in two years for a warranty call.

What people said afterwards

Had a few boards near the stairs that were soft as a sponge. They replaced the joists underneath too, not just the boards, our place is just outside Foley and I didn't expect that.

Deck Repair · Daphne, AL
Rain pushed the start back a week but they called ahead instead of just not showing up. Composite boards look great, no more restaining every spring.
Casey R.
Composite Deck Installation · Fairhope, AL
Our deck in Gulf Shores was grey and cracking pretty bad. Pressure washed it, let it dry a couple days, and the stain actually soaked in instead of sitting on top like last time.

Common Questions

Questions we get a lot

Common questions before you call.

Do you offer free estimates for deck work?
Estimates for deck installation, repair, and staining are free and come with a written price before any work begins. A site visit includes measurements and a walkthrough of material options before a number is put on paper.
Are you licensed and insured to build decks in Alabama?
Deck construction work is performed by a licensed and insured contractor, with documentation available on request. This covers both the homeowner and the crew if something is damaged or someone is injured during the project.
How soon can you start a deck project?
Start times depend on current workload and the size of the job, but most deck repairs can be scheduled within one to two weeks. Larger new builds that require a permit usually take a bit longer to get on the schedule once the permit is approved.
What areas do you build and repair decks in?
Deck building and repair services cover Foley, Gulf Shores, Fairhope, Daphne, Orange Beach, and the surrounding Baldwin County communities. Calling ahead confirms coverage for addresses outside that general area.
Do you work on decks for rental properties or just primary homes?
Deck work is done on primary residences, vacation rentals, and investment properties throughout the Gulf Coast area. Rental property owners often schedule staining and repair work between guest bookings to avoid downtime.
Will you take on a small repair job, like one rotten board?
Small repairs such as replacing a single rotten board, tightening a loose railing, or resetting a post are taken on alongside full deck rebuilds. No job is considered too small to look at.
How do I get started with a deck project?
Calling or sending a message describing the issue or the project leads to a visit to look at the site and take measurements. A written quote follows that visit, usually within a few days.
What does a new deck typically cost?
Cost depends mainly on square footage, decking material, and height off the ground, since taller decks need more substantial footings and railings. Pressure-treated pine runs less per square foot than composite, but composite requires no restaining over its lifespan.
Do you require a deposit before starting work?
A deposit is typically required to cover material costs before a deck project begins, with the remaining balance due upon completion. Payment schedules for larger projects are outlined in the written quote.
What happens if it rains during my deck project?
Rain delays framing and decking work since lumber has to stay dry during installation, and staining can't be done on wet wood. Weather delays are communicated as soon as they're known, rather than leaving a homeowner wondering why the crew didn't show.
